Eight Bit Studios

The challenge

Eight Bit Studios is the two-person app studio Don and I run: Don is a developer in Chicago and I'm a designer in Dallas. We build our own products and help founders launch theirs, with product strategy, app development, and fractional CTO work, and we've been doing it since 2009. The site had to say that plainly and make starting a project easy.

The approach

I designed the site around a retro arcade theme, with a breakout-style game on the homepage and a gamified intake form that walks founders through their stage, funding, and what they need. We rebuilt it from Framer to Astro.
